Mabis Aluminum Folding Walker: Function and Convenience

People with walking disabilities would need a lot of assistance when it comes to walking. Staying in your chair for long periods has to be very depressing, and not to mention, would cause you pressure ulcers. Even if they walk in a very slow manner, being able to go from one place to another is already considered as a luxury among these people.

For some people, only canes are needed. However, if both limbs are affected, a walker would be required. Walkers are more sturdy as compared to canes because walkers would be able to take the weight of both arms. People with walking disabilities, most of the time, have weak legs. They would have to rely on the strength of their arms to get them around. That is the purpose of the walker. They would be able to bear their weight in both arms and use the walker to assist them in moving from one place to another.

The problem with walkers though is that they are too bulky and usually gets in the way when not used. Most people with walkers do not know how to store them since they take up too much space. They are big and cumbersome.

Well, that is why I love the Mabis Aluminum Folding Walker because as the name suggests, you could easily fold it and store it. It is efficient and space saving at the same time!

The Mabis Aluminum Folding Walker has two five-inch wheels in front and the back legs have rubber stoppers for safety. The handgrips are made from molded foam for maximum comfort. It is also made from aluminum, which is both lightweight and sturdy.

The only issue that I have with the product is that it does not have any handbrakes for the wheels. I think that would be a very nice feature that they could incorporate. However, since it has a rubber stopper on the back, I guess it is a nonissue then.
